Frequently asked questions.

RSVP

How do I RSVP and when do I need to RSVP by?

Please reply by 1st June 2026.

This will go live on the website when you invitations are sent in the new year.

You’ll be asked to enter your name. Please RSVP for each person individually with your/their full name and complete all questions that follow.

Plus ones and children.

We’re so looking forward to celebrating with all our favourite people. The day will be held at Gordon’s parents’ home, and as the garden has a few ponds and a pool, we’d be really grateful if little ones do attend, they are closely supervised at all times.

To help us plan as smoothly as possible, we’re inviting guests by name, we hope you’ll understand that we’re not able to accommodate additional plus-ones.

The food and diet requirements

You will be well catered for all day by our wonderful catering company during the day and evening. Should you have any allergies, diet requirements or special requests please make sure you note these when RSVPing (there will be a question pop up to add this information). Requests may not be able to be taken on the day.

The bar

The bar is a card / contactless only bar on the day.

Parking at the church and our reception venue

Please be aware there is limited parking at the church. So please leave plenty of time to find a space. It is not walking distance between the church and venue.

There will be some parking on pond lane or we can recommend walking bottom carpark about 100yards from the church. All free parking. We ask that you avoid parking in the centre of the village.

Back at Widgery House there is a large field for parking by our marquee clearly signed on your left as you drive towards the venue from the church. The what3word for the turning is ///mute.summer.ship and will be clearly signposted. Please do not park or drive to the front of Widgery House.

Transport to and from the church

We haven't put on any specific transport. However, if you need help co-ordinating lift shares from the church to the venue please reach out.

Taxi and local accommodation information.

As our venue is a rural location pre booking taxis in advance is advised. It’s not an area your will easily get an uber! There are many taxi companies around Guildford, Dorking, Cranleigh. Here’s some recommendations on who to call.

We have listed some local accommodation options HERE.

The dress code and some advice.

Dress to impress - think wedding glam rather than garden casual! Suits, dresses, and dancing shoes very much encouraged.

The whole day will take place in and around a marquee, so please come prepared for a full day outdoors. Layers, wraps, or a smart jacket might come in handy as the evening cools.
